A challenging opportunity for a £300m+ turnover business which is part of an even larger construction group where the nature of the works undertaken are wide ranging. They also procure a large quantity of subcontract trades. The crux of the role is to ensure better accounting control and enable greater financial strategic input.
It is envisaged that the Financial Controller role will encompass IT and Business improvement as well as debtor management in conjunction with the Credit Control Department. Over time it is likely that the Financial Controller will also take on further responsibilities.
The Financial Controller will enable improved reporting, financial forecasting and risk management. The Area businesses will be better held to account with improved interrogation of the operating costs and revenues. The business performances will be better scrutinised and benchmarked to identify best practise.
The Financial Controller will liaise closely with colleagues to ensure genuine contribution is reported and accounted for throughout the value chain thereby enabling improved margin management
Who we're looking for
You will be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with the following attributes: team player; adaptable; possess good business acumen; proactive in problem solving; tenacious and resilient.
