At the centre of this role will be connecting our core competencies to the customer's business problems through products and services. The successful product specialist will be able to work with clients to identify operational, financial and strategic objectives, aspirations, and pain points. You will provide a vision to clients, and colleagues within the sales team, to address these opportunities/challenges that will establish Moody's as a trusted partner and accelerate demand for our capabilities. This will include cases where you will deploy off the shelf capability, and in other cases may require a bespoke solution spanning multiple product and services to provide a solution to our client's needs, and may entail working closely with our Professional Services teams.
To that end, Product Specialists are charged with the development of business from their respective territories and products. In cooperation with the Account Management staff, Product Specialists drive the sales process by identifying and targeting prospects, initiating activity, and managing cycles to closure. In addition, Product Specialists work closely with Product Management and Product Strategy to promote improvement in terms of product quality and in terms of the development of new sources of revenue.
Who we're looking for
You will have experience working with credit risk measurement and management solutions, often through experience in understanding of one or more functional domains (e.g., banking, asset management, insurance, capital markets, or within a corporate), and credibility with clients. You should be able to demonstrate a grasp of the factors driving our clients' businesses such that they end up asking you questions about what they should do to achieve their credit risk goals.
You will have demonstrated proven value as advisor and be extremely well-versed in credit risk management issues.
You are a self-sufficient contributor to client meetings and can effectively communicate value proposition in spontaneous client phone calls. You can present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of your responsible products & services.
