The Business Improvement and Assurance team is a small group within Land Systems Munitions responsible for providing overall business assurance, business metrics, maintenance/improvement of key business processes and the development and promotion of sustainable development. Your role will be to review BAE Systems policy on business continuity management and ensure that any changes required are understoodand implemented. You will contribute to the review, developmentand maintenance of the Munitions business continuity management strategy & framework.You willfacilitateand support the joint/site based BCM Forums to ensure that, in particular, critical business enablers & associated business impact analysis information is reviewed on a regular basis.
Other activities will include:
Manage the relationship and statement of work, with our chosen BCM consultancy advisor.
Ensure that learning from exercisesand actual incidents is documented and shared across the business with other interested parties.
Monitor the maintenanceand update of the business BCM document suite to ensure that it remains up to dateand relevant.
Contribute to and where necessary support, the audit of conformance to BCM policy, processes and plans.
Promoteand communicate BCM to raise awarenessand understanding. Continuously review the implementation of BCM and learning to enable ongoing improvements to the BCM strategy.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have a degree or higher qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline and a working knowledge of at least some of the following within a manufacturing environment: business continuity management, project management, risk management.
The successful candidate will also:
Be proactive, self motivated & delivery focused individual able to work with minimal supervision.
Have good facilitation & interpersonal skills with an ability to work well individually, in teams & at senior levels within the Munitions business.
Have good written, communication & IT (MS Office essential) skills.
A competency in the conduct of auditing activities is desirable.
Frequent travel within UK, occasional travel overseas.
