You will be required to provide basic skills support and development to members within a job-seeking framework. You will develop in members the language skills, motivation and confidence to enter or move towards the labour market, and to offer ongoing individualised support. You will also provide a personalised assessment service and advise members and Personal Advisers of suitable courses of action. Your day to day duties will be to assess Members' Basic Skills, to draw up individual learning plans to develop Members skills, to recruit Members onto Basic Skills courses, to deliver courses on a group basis, to conduct reviews to monitor Members' progress, to support Members in preparing job applications, to work with Personal Advisers and the Employer Liaison Team to secure work placements for members, to contribute to self-assessment and quality procedures and any other duties as may be specified by your manager from time to time.

Preferably you will have:
• Experience of delivering basic skills courses
• Strong commitment to equality of opportunity

• Creative, innovative and flexible in approach
• Ability to write courses and create learning materials

What's on offer
Basic salary up to £28,000 + Performance related bonus
