Group Internal Auditor

Working in a stand alone role and reporting to the Group CEO and the Partner in charge of group risk, this fabulous role will enjoy a varied brief centred on evaluating and improving the effectiveness of the group's risk management, financial and operational controls and governance processes in a systematic and disciplined manner.
Principal responsibilities:
• To continue to develop and conduct the Internal Audit function for the groupand assist in the establishment and maintenance of a robust, embedded Risk Management culture
• To develop and implement an annual risk-based internal audit plan for the group
• To design and carry out audit programs as per the approved plan
• To perform work in accordance with IIA standards, including conducting and documenting internal audits and preparing associated reports for management, the CEO andthe Audit committee
• To assess the implementation and operational effectiveness of internal controls withinthe group for a variety of operational areas
• To identify and communicate efficiency improvements within the scope of audits
• To provide feedback on and to facilitate the achievement of consistency of processes and controls throughout the group
• To monitor and follow up on the status of internal audit recommendations
• To assist in the group's identification and management of emerging risks
• To liaise with the audit committee and senior management
• Ad hoc projects as required

Who we're looking for
Applications are welcome from qualified accountants (CA, CPA, ACA only) who are also qualified, studying for or interested in studying for the CIA exams.
You will need to have previous Internal Audit experience, ideally gained within a large international organisation.
In addition, you will need to the following skills and attributes
• The ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels
• Possess excellent organisational skills
• Possess excellent oral and written skills
• Flexibility to travel for approximately 50% of your time
