The role will be varied, challenging and stimulating. Working with senior management, you will help secure future funding streams before contributing to the development of business plans and financial models for the new funds. Thereafter the individual will help manage key stakeholder relationships, assist in the appointment of Fund Managers, and play a key project management role in the business. This represents a unique opportunity in the north east. Participating with senior management in projects carrying a high regional profile, you will have every opportunity to work on your own initiative, playing a key role in enhancing the region's entrepreneurial fabric.

Who we're looking for
Potential candidates should be confident in communication and presentation, with good project management experience. An understanding of the venture capital and / or corporate finance markets is important whilst a knowledge of public sector funding streams would be useful, but is not essential. The company is open with regard to the background of applicants, although exposure to corporate finance, consultancy, banking or the public sector would be advantageous.

About our client
North East Financeis working with the Regional Development Agency One NorthEast to develop a comprehensive range of investment funds focused on the SME sector. These funds will build on the success of previous regional investment fund initiatives (including the Proof of Concept Fund (PoC), the North East co-investment fund (CoIf) and North East Mezzanine Fund initiatives). North East Finance works to increase access to start-up and development funding for SMEs in the north east by raising finance from a variety of public and private sector investors. North East Finance is entering a new era, securing new sources of funding which are expected to total £120m. As a result, the company is looking to strengthen its management team with the recruitment of an Access to Finance Manager.
