Commercial Finance Manager

Duties: preparation and consolidation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts, ensuring business ownership and that efficiency measures are in place; driving focus on value and efficiency as part of the decision-making process; providing input into and preparation of commercial business cases; preparing and coordinating weekly KPI reporting; preparation of CFO and CEO monthly reporting packs; monthly performance and variance analysis to budget, forecast and recent trends; pre-and-post analysis of new business initiatives - e.g. marketing/sales campaigns and new product investments; preparing Cash Committee and Investment Committee documentation; building and developing effective relationships with the key customers of the role e.g. MD. You should be a qualified Accountant with multi-functional commercial experience. You will have strong character with excellent communication skills - ability to challenge and present to senior management. You will have proactive approach and have the ability to work proactively to tight deadlines. You will be a team player and work closely with a wide range of teams across the organisation. You should be adaptable and need to pick up new concepts quickly and learn in an ever changing complex environment/ IT - good Excel modelling, PowerPoint and Word skills are required. .
Who we're looking for
Qualified Accountant.
Relevant industry experience would be a benefit, either within the gas industry or the construction sector within an alliance type environment.
Technical Competencies:
Expert user of Financial systems, general PC applications and Microsoft applications, including good Excel skills.
Specific Experience:
Working knowledge of Investment Procedures and Accounting/Expenditure policies. Commercial acumen and strong negotiating ability.
Other Criteria:
The jobholder will possess a high intellectual capacity and strong business skills, will be highly numerate and possess a high level of concern for quality and delivery to strict deadline, with a high level of communication and negotiation skills to Board level.
