An exciting role has arisen with my client, a successful and rapidly growing civil engineering company, for a Supply Chain Manager to join them based in the London area. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain the main responsibilities of the role will be:
• Lead the provision of the supply chain across selected projects.
• Maximise the value of the supply chain across work-winning and project delivery activity.
• Lead the team ensuring project delivery via maximum procurement value-adding activity.
• Develop and motivate the team to ensure efficient project delivery is achieved.
• Develop specific supply chain strategies for effective project delivery in conjunction with the project time whilst aligning these strategies with the overall business supply chain strategy.
• Drive the use of and the sharing of industry best practice across the company's entire supply chain.
• Work with all relevant departments within the business to ensure suppliers will provide assured delivery and maximum value against time, cost, quality and safety requirements of each given project.
• Report upon and drive supply chain performance improvement across your remit.

Who we're looking for
You will possess previous experience of operating within a civil engineering environment and be looking for the next step in your purchasing career. In-depth knowledge of the intricacies of sub-contract and materials procurement is essential as is the ability to effectively manage a team, although prior people management experience is not a pre-requisite.
Demonstrable experience of supply chain efficiency improvement and development would be beneficial.
