As Financial Controller you will support the partners and senior management in the BVI, helping them to manage their business effectively and to execute the group's financial and business strategy. You will enjoy a varied brief including accounting, budgeting, balance sheet management, treasury, taxation and funding. In addition, you will lead and develop the local finance function to provide effective commercial support and challenge to the business, as well as providing effective management of the financial aspects of partnership matters.
The role's main objectives and accountabilities are:
•To oversee the effective, day-to-day, management of Finance across the two BVIbusinesses
•To participate fully in the local governance bodies;
•To manage effectively the local business relationship with external advisers and regulators
•To manage, direct, control thelocal financial budgeting and business planning processes, financial strategy and all financial matters relating to the Partnership
•To represent the firmin all external bodies relevant to the conduct of its business
•To provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial information to local regulators and other bodies (for example, tax authorities);
•To obtain a clean audit opinion onthe localfinancial statements and subsidiary entities;
•To support key, strategic, projects including (amongst other things) premises;
•To support BVI management and Partners to manage effectively financial affairs;
•To ensure the integrity ofthe BVI financial accounting records, systems, procedures and controls;
•To provide accurate, timely and comprehensive financial management information toBVI management, Partners, Group Finance and third parties.
Who we're looking for
Qualified Accountant (CA, ACA or CPA) or MBA with an accounting bias, with experience of managing a finance function in a fast-paced, rapidly-expanding environment.
You must be willing to relocate to the British Virgin Islands, arguably the most beautiful 'low tax jurisdiction' in the world.
