Business Development Executive

Leading professional services firm based in Birmingham is looking for top tier, career hungry candidates to be part of its business development team.

Main Purpose of Job: The Business Development Executive will cover the whole spectrum of business development activities. Specific focus will be on supporting line management and taking responsibility for less complex tender requests with support and direction from across the team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Competitive Tenders and Sales Opportunities

Working with the BDM team to advise and support teams offee earnerspitching for new work by:

• Evaluating opportunities;
• Researching prospects;
• Developing and drafting documents (tenders, PQQs, credentials, sales letters & agendas);
• Supporting rehearsals for presentations;
• Debriefing and feeding back key messages;
• Managing & delivering a number of discrete projects as required;
• Sales admin duties as required to ensure the smooth running of the role and the department.
Sales / Targeting
• Supporting the head of Business Development in driving firm-wide sales.

Best Practice and Continuous Improvement

• Working with the Business Development team to continually improve the way we do things by suggesting new ideas, developing working practices and working with teams on long-term improvement projects;
• Working with the head of Business Development to feedback key information and recommendations to the partnership.
Any other reasonable duties delegated by the Business Development team, Partners or Senior Managers within the firm.

Who we're looking for
Qualifications and Experience:

• Self motivated, positive team player with initiative, able to build rapport at all levels and work within tight deadlines;
• Excellent organisational and project management skills with outstanding grammar and communication;
• Strong interest in Business Development with a flexible approach;
• Excellent computer skills, with extensive experience of Word and Excel;
• Good GCSE's, A Levels or marketing qualification equivalent, or willingness to study for qualification.
