My client requires a General Manager to take responsibility for a busy operation for one of their prestigious contracts based in theWest Yorkshirearea. Reporting to the Regional Operations Director you will be responbsile for maximising the weekly, monthly and annual performance of the site(s) by providing leadership, focusing on customer requirements, effective operational performance, a motivated workforce, succession planning. You will be responsible for managing all operational, administrative and commercial functions for the site.
You will provide leadership, focus on customer satisfaction and operational performance. Achieve all this within budgets, deadlines and to SLAs. Report these KPIs to the customer and business and foster these relationships up to director level. Involvement in the strategic development of the site and contract adding more value added activity to the business.
Who we're looking for
The successful applicants ideally will possess the following key qualities:
• Ideally you will havea proven track recordwithin third party logistics environment.
• Business Acumen with strong commercial awareness.
• Ability to withstand pressure and work to tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage large scale automated environments.
• Intellect of graduate calibre
• Capable of managing a large team of people, managing budgets and running a complex multi faceted operation.
