Due to a new phase of development, a leading construction and services group is looking for a Development Director to join the Healthcare side of the company to be based in Newcastle.
This role reports to the Board of Directors on the client side on a daily basis. The client is embarking on a new phase of development, seeking to deliver a range of added value skills out with the traditional boundaries of construction and FM services delivery. The role of the Development Director is essential to the success of this change in focus, acting as a catalyst for delivering the estate development ambitions of the public sector partners.
The company will align itself more closely with the full estate needs of its client base, including areas such as estate rationalisation and urban regeneration therefore the Directors position will be suited to candidates with a background in property development/mixed use developments.
Responsibilities:
• Creating an effective and diverse property company capable of working with public sector clients to improve the overall location and quality of accommodation and services.
• Leading a team of 4.
• Accessing Public resources and stimulating Private sector involvement.
• Facilitating the input of specialist technical services, planning and property development specialists.
• Liaising with shareholders on company commercial, technical and performance issues.
• Implement the business plan as developed by Shareholders
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience of multi use property development initiatives.
Network of contacts in local market.
Proven skills in delivering capital programmes to time and budget.
Strong skills in change management and partnership working.
About our client
Our client is a £200m main contractor dedicated to PPP, PFI and similar partnership projects in the education and health care sectors. There current investment portfolio is in excess of £500m. They are one of the pioneers of PFI/PPP and they have created an elite team to work on a wide spectrum of projects involving health care, housing and education.
What's on offer
