Reporting to the President of the Rolling & Recycling business unit you will be responsible for implementing a value-added sourcing strategy in line with the business needs in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This will include identifying, qualifying, managing and developing the relationship and performance of suppliers of sourced materials and components for Novelis` European operations. Extensive travel to visit current or prospective suppliers as well as our manufacturing locations.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will degree educated in either an engineering, purchasing or supply chain discipline. You will be a highly self motivated purchasing manager who can handle our sourcing needs with a proven track record at a similar level within a manufacturing environment. You will possess excellent man management skills and be proactive and capable of working on your own initiative and as a team.
The ability to identify plus coach and lead high performing teams is fundamental in your approach to managing a successful department. You will need to be highly flexible, analytical and a superb communicator as you will be travelling extensively with this position. This position requires sound professional relationship development and requires excellent negotiation skills to influence suppliers decisions.
Novelis is undergoing a large amount of change management along with new product investment so strong change / project management and continuous improvement skill is advantageous.
