For almost two decades, Surrenda-link has been at the forefront of innovation with investments based upon life insurance policies. In 1992 Surrenda-link became the first company in the UK to devise and launch a TEP investment fund and in 2004 created what is thought to be the world's first TLI-based stock exchange listed fund.
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the growing investment management team of this innovative business as Head of Business Development covering the London market.
You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of Institutional clients for the distribution of a unique range of investment products and services. Your aim will be to develop and deepen relationships with Institutional investors, increasing the use and distribution of Surrenda-link asset classes and professional services in your universe of clients. Based in London, you will focus on the development of new business on behalf of the senior sales team through researching appropriate targets, initiating contact, understanding opportunity value and mapping organisations through to decision maker.
You will have the opportunity and flexibility to work from home, and will also be required to travel frequently, including to the SL head office in Chester.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Marketing the SL's product range to Institutional Investors
• Driving the strategic direction of investment strategies in line with the Investment Director
• Organising of sales meetings & follow ups
• Support the Investment Director with key relationships and transactions enabling increased levels of business to be completed. Personally responsible for completing new investment agreements
• Guiding clients on suitable investment strategies including post transaction client servicing and reporting
• Achieving / stretching sales targets in line with agreed business plans
• Monitoring market place and competitor environment
• Liaising with internal departments and third parties
Who we're looking for
You will be of graduate calibre and have current experience gained in a business development capacity. You will have a demonstrable track record of identifying relevant prospects, initiating contact and following through a pipeline to fruition.
You will be comfortable dealing at senior level both face to face and over the telephone and have the natural tenacity and verbal ability to make a success in a new business environment.
Current Investment and Institutional Market experience is a prerequisite.
Candidates with an existing networking of London based Institutional clients and an understanding of traded life products will be looked upon very favourably.
