The role as Territory Manager will be to provide a direct interface with specialist pet retail operators at store level to ensure the highest level of specialist endorsement, visibility, quality of merchandising and assortment for brands. You will also be responsible for optimal coverage of the territory in current and potential customers, communicate persuasively the technical superiority, practical application and commercial benefits of products. This will result in increased distribution, establishment of shelf space, price negotiation, and increased value of brand, recommendation and sales in the specialist pet stores in the assigned territory.
You will assist with the development of area sales plans, in conjunction with line manager, and implement these to achieve objectives and targets set for the pet channel, deliver information on products through effective presentation skills, regular store visits, deliver professional sales support to specified customers, represent at conferences and conduct professional meetings.
Who we're looking for
You will ideally be working for a FMCG business selling to the retail channel. You will be able to demonstrate effective communication, consumer/customer focused, customer and shopper insight, competitive intelligence and a commercial perspective with knowledge in creating ,executing and monitoring account development activity and managing associated budgets. Alongside this you will have a proven track record in field sales with a long term view of business, you must be able to demonstrate your ability to write account business plans, have financial business awareness and help assist in taking the business to the next level.
