Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management UK and Ireland, manage the distribution of the department's Store facilities operating budget of circa £50 million ensuring both Corporate and statutory requirements are met. Develop and perform a system of audit to monitor specific facilities management processes ensuring probity, whilst identifying financial risk.
Who we're looking for
Responsibilities will include:
• Maintain & report to Head of Facilities Management North/South accurate budget positions for all cost centres including Accruals reporting
• Monitor and advise the Head of Facilities of any changes to the Average Order Prices (AVO)
• Manage a cost management team of 6 personnel
• Meet financial information deadlines I.e. Month end, invoice payment dates etc.
• Provide accurate budget forecasting and Accruals monitoring reports
• Review Building & Equipment Cost Allocation Manual to maximise alignment to the business's capitalisation policy
• Maintain a 3-year on-going expenditure plan for the FM department
• Financial risk assessment through audit processes
• Develop financial awareness with department colleagues
Technical Knowledge required:
• A relevant professional qualification, CIMA, RICS (QS Division) and post qualification experience or a broad knowledge of financial systems and experience of FM.
• Understanding of SAP system and payment of suppliers is preferable but not essential.
• An analytical approach to reviewing cost reports and explaining variances.
• Previous experience working in an FM environment is preferable but not essential
