Assistant Compliance Manager

Reporting to the Compliance Legislation & Quality Manager, support the auditing of all FM activities including PPM and reactive maintenance in across all stores. Ensuring contractors have carried out cost-effective maintenance in line with the PPM task schedules and complying with all relevant statutory legislation
Duties are:
• Ensure the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance is achieved along with the assessment of maintenance standards and workmanship via the physical auditing of stores by the Field managers in line with agreed programmes and feedback mechanism.

• Support stores in the development of the Facilities Management manual

• Input all incoming legislative inspection reports and associated correspondence onto a database, recording date of receipt, action to be taken, by whom and when completed thus ensuring 'cradle to grave' audit trail

• As and when required attend meetings with contractors to discuss and review audit issues and performance using information reports provided by Head Office and information obtained through discussions with store management

• Be responsible for the auditing of documentation held at stores and Contractor's premises, ensuring value for money, and quality is delivered at all times. Continually compile and up date programme in line with agreed changes.

• In conjunction with the Field manager(s) arrange visits to contractor's premises to audit PPM and reactive call out documentation e.g. Health & Safety Plans and Risk Assessments

• Escalate all H&S/non compliance issues to the Field Managers.

• AS required meet with Head of Facilities North/South to discuss audit findings

• Ensure the company's obligation to legislation is being achieved

Who we're looking for
• Knowledge of relevant Heath and Safety Legislation in relation to the construction and maintenance industry.
• Experienced in Facilities Management or Maintenance Industry, with particular focus on Health & Safety of large facilities or maintenance contracts, preferably in a multi site retail environment
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferable.
• Ideally relevant technical qualification - HNC/HND with post qualification experience of facilities management in a corporate/retail environment
