Based at the site in West Yorkshire the Team Leader will have total responsibility for productivity, quality and safety in one of the manufacturing cells.
The position will manage highly qualified manufacturing associates developing their autonomy, knowledge and performance.
Additional primary focus will be to drive an improvement & culture change as well as ensuring their area consistently delivers against factory KPIs with targets relating to quality, cost and service.
Who we're looking for
Relevant candidates can show strong track record in manufacturing management, demonstrating significant results through lean principles and an ability to work autonomously.
An understanding of lean principles such as single piece flow, 5s, Standard Work, visual management, total productive maintenance and communication tools is definitely advantageous.
However, above all existing knowledge, the ideal applicant will have a desire to learn new systems and procedures and a willingness to alter their approach in order to succeed in what is a highly challenging and rewarding manufacturing environment
