To execute the Business Markets sales strategy and ensure the achievement of all-financial targets and key performance indicators. To effectively manage, develop and coach all direct reports ensuring the highest levels of professionalism are maintained and that all activity is aligned to the Business Markets sales strategy.
1. Achieving revenue targets and key objectives as defined by the Head of Business Markets and in line with the Business Markets strategy and tactical activity plan.
2. Building a solid platform (pipeline) for future achievements of targets and key objectives
3. To deliver agreed sales targets and Key Performance Indicators and Objectives
4. To carry out and record regular accompanied visits to the customer
5. To generate strong relationships with key and or senior people within customer and prospect base
6. Developing an in depth knowledge of the business environment within their scope of the operation
7. To ensure all Sales Process, reports and management information procedures are maintained
8. To ensure that team members perform to high standards, in accordance with the Business Division strategic direction, company policy, brand values and good practice at all times
10. To effectively manage, coach and develop a team of approx. 6 sales people
11. Providing clear leadership to the team members identifying and coaching successors to own role (Business/Sector Sales Manager)
12. Ensuring that all administration and written documentation produced by self and / or the sales team is of an excellent standard
13. To ensure sales performance and targets are consistently met, both at an individual and team level
14. To maintain high knowledge of own product and services, and of those offered by key competitors
15. To establish and manage astute relationships with customers, peers, and cross functional colleagues, driving improvements in customer satisfaction and
Who we're looking for
• Demonstrable relevant experience in the business to business sales environment, preferably with some exposure to a sales management role.
• Can demonstrate a structured and professional approach to leadership of a sales team.
• An in-depth understanding of sales techniques, sales cycles and forecast/pipeline management.
• Computer literate - Excel/PowerPoint/Word
• Proven experience achieving sales / operational targets within a business sales environment.
• Experience of cross-functional teams working.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
