This vacancy represents an exceptional opportunity for an individual to make a real impact on the future direction and strategy of the business. Recent expansion within the organisation has identified the need for a Purchasing Manager for the Commtech division of this business. This position will report into the Managing Director and focus on seeking, developing and implementing new global sourcing opportunities for the business.

Key responsibilities include:
• Developing procurement and global sourcing strategy for the business unit
• Identifying and sourcing a global supplier base capable of delivering cost, quality and customer service objectives
• Analysing supply chain activity to identify cost saving opportunities
• Collaborating group supply chains to maximise group value, service and performance
• Negotiating long term and short term agreements delivering maximum value, service and quality
• Developing and implementing continuous improvement strategy
• Effective project management from concept to delivery

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of LCC Sourcing principles, with previous experience across the Far East and Asia. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential alongside a proven track record within procurement and sourcing. Excellent stakeholder and internal relationship management skills are essential in delivering optimum benefit to the group.

A working knowledge of the cable manufacturing or electrical markets would be beneficial, but not essential, for this position.
