IT Manager - Supply Chain Systems

My client is now recruiting an IT Manager of Supply Chain Systems. Reporting to the WW IT Director of Supply Chain, the IT Manager will be the key IT presence within the EVC, and the EMA region, ensuring delivery of IT solutions, services and projects for supply chain.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

• Manage the support of local Supply Chain Systems and be the main IT contact for European Vision Centre and EMA personnel on supply chain issues and initiatives
• Co-ordination of support to local end users of global market system applications (mainly SAP)
• Maintain the day-to-day IT operations within the EVC, ensuring that all systems are operational to allow daily picking and shipping of product
• Manage EMA portfolio of Supply Chain Systems projects in the areas of business to business, business to consumer and business analytics across the EMA region while working within the global IT structure to ensure that all projects go through the correct process for portfolio management and prioritization
• Manage full time and contractor resource to ensure IT operational excellence.
• Manage communication and resolution of issues between business and IT functions
• Promote new technology solutions and define projects that add value and grow the business
• Manage communication and resolution of issues between business and solution development teams
• Provide day-to-day business knowledge and expertise
• Work with the global IT department to ensure alignment on IT strategies, policies and regulations
• Provide a continuous presence of IT in Supply Chain Systems business teams
• Keep updated on current Supply Chain Systems technologies and processes and suggest process improvements

Who we're looking for
Your demonstrable experience will include:

• Educated to degree level or above, in Computer Science or similar discipline
• Strong SAP (SD/MM/WM) experience
• Strong general business systems knowledge
• Analytical thinker that uses data in order to prove theories
• Proven people management and development skills
• Previous business partnering experience
• Proven Project Management experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven skills working in a regulated operations environment
• Knowledge of eCommerce and EDI is advantageous
