Global Forecasting Manager

Job Role
The primary purpose of this position is to provide the most accurate forecast possible for planned parts and ensure customer service levels are achieved while minimizing inventory and ensuring that the right part, in the right quantity, at the right place, at the right time is delivered to the customer. Thereby this position requires managing the demand forecasting processes for existing, established parts which impact the regions, inventory planning and suppliers.

Major accountabilities include:

Leading a team of specialists and analysts;
Establishing monthly forecasting cycle to analyze, forecast, and adjust;
Collaborating with the Director Forecasting and Inventory Planning to establish the right global standards and policies;
Collaborating with the Inventory Planning, Purchasing, and Strategic Sourcing departments by providing input into planning processes to align product delivery schedules with forecasted demand;
Planning supply strategies throughout the product life cycle that support financial, operational and customer satisfaction business objectives;
Conducting lifecycle planning, obsolescence and end of life planning for parts based on manufacturing, market and customer information;
Leading forecasting process improvement efforts based on published metrics and other key indicators;
Monitoring stocking levels and incorporate actual to refined forecasts;
Managing the team to adhere to forecasting cycle;
Supporting the team structure to ensure adherence to standards and the flexibility to adapt to evolving process improvements.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience with solid track record;
Strong understanding of material planning, forecasting, and supply chain concepts;
Extensive knowledge of best practices in forecasting;
Experience with progressive advancement in supply chain organization;
Experience in heavy machine manufacturing, automotive or related industry with understanding of the Parts business
Proven track record of progressive success in forecasting or planning;
Experience with ERP and supply chain systems (SAP preferred);
Proficiency in MS Office products;
Proven leadership and team management skills with strong analytical and communication skills;
Demonstrated ability to take ownership of issues, to initiate actions, and to take effective decisions;
Fluency in English, and other European language(s) as advantage.
