The Operations Director will have the following responsibilities :
•To maximise the business strategy for the company in the Scottish regions whilst representing the company at the highest level within Partnership Arrangements facilitating innovation and promoting positive change making sure any new business opportunities are secured.
• To improve service levels on voids, repair and maintenance and public building contracts as well as the service levels within the customer service department ensuring all service level targets are adhered too and taking appropriate action when needed.
• To provide a high standard of leadership and take overall management responsibility for all of the staff including staff appraisals, training and development, disciplinary and grievance procedures etc.
• To continually drive the financial performance of all of the contracts in the Scottish region with full profit and loss responsibility.
Who we're looking for
The candidate will ideally have the following attributes:
• A Degree in a relevant discipline or professional membership.
•Ability to demonstrate a strong background in managing successful Repair and Maintenance, Voids or Public Building contracts preferably within the social housing industry.
•A highly effective communicator and be able to demonstrate prior experience in working effectively within a highly unionised environment.
• An effective team leader helping to mentor junior members of the company fostering good relations both with key internal and external stakeholders promoting long term relationships.
