Supply and Service Manager

Food Manufacturing

This newly created role will be responsible for driving improvement in overall customer service through the management and improvement of order capture, warehousing, planning, scheduling and distribution functions while minimising product and component inventories. Key tasks will include:-

• To manage all Sales Order Processing activity including order capture and pricing
• To provide service trend data for commercial team and customers
• To work with other functions to resolve customer issues and coordinate customer communication
• To develop relationships with key customers
• To monitor customer forecasts and contract performance, against demand and highlight issues to the commercial team
• To oversee the sales forecast input with the Planning Manager and develop into an Operational Production Plan
• To establish and control vendor managed inventory for key customers.
• To critically review with the operational teams all stock build plans and capacities.
• To work with the Factory Managers to improve OEE's
• Manage the RCCP and MRP2 system to manage stock profiles
• Manage and review warehouse systems and practices targeting excess inventories, pallets and returnable packaging for cost reduction opportunities.
• Review and improve logistic operations working with customers and suppliers to drive consolidation and efficiency improvements.
• Develop KPI's to measure these key performance areas.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will be degree qualified or equivalent with a proven track record of working within a fast moving seasonal consumer goods environment. They will have a track record of dealing with multi channel customers including the major retailers and other food manufacturing businesses. Along with excellent interpersonal skills and supervisory skills they will also be skilled in the use of Access and Excel with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data to extract trends and anomalies

What's on offer
