As Senior Building Surveyor you will hold full responsibility for the day-to-day and planned maintenance and building works including dilapidations for a portfolio of 700+ retail properties throughout London.
Main activities will include;
• Reactive day to day maintenance and building works for the shops.
• Managing team of 2 Building Surveyors - appraisals, reviews etc.
• Planned maintenance and building works for the estate.
• Preparation of schedules of work for revenue/capital repairs.
• Assisting in the preparation of annual Budgets and cost management of the same throughout the financial year
• Site supervision and checking of completed and work in progress.
• Communication with both internal operations staff and external contractors and suppliers.
• Completion of all associated administration.
• Compliance with statutory requirements.
Who we're looking for
The ideal building surveyorwill reside in acommutable distance to London, be able to travel andpossess:
• Previous working knowledge in a similar role (with a national retailer would be advantageous).
• Knowledge of building construction and associated legislation.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Word processing skills and knowledge of excel.
• People management skills.
• Self motivated and committed.
• Ability to deal with a large volume of work with tight deadlines, but maintaining quality and service.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to demonstratea responsible approach and identify and implement office procedures to the highest standard.
The ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative is essential.
