Procurement Manager

Green fields opportunity to pioneer, develop and implement a procurement strategy across all direct and indirect categories of spend throughout the organisation. Ownership of over £100m spend and reporting directly into the Operations Director, the Procurement Manager will have responsibility over all major supplier negotiations and contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement procurement strategy, ensure best practice process and procedures across the organisation.
• Rationalisation of the supply base.
• Ownership & management of the key distributor plan.
• To ensure all key suppliers' have considered/are practising according to their stated Quality Management and Environmental processes, and are in line with company policy.
• To develop and maintain excellent relationships with major vendors and review performance on a regular basis.
• Stakeholder management, advising key stakeholders on spend behaviour and reports.

Who we're looking for
A confident and highly motivated and strategic Procurement Manager with strong influencing skills, a proven track record within IT/Network and indirect spend across a multitude of categories including logistics, marketing, utilities, prof. services, travel and FM.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Ownership of significant spend and category management.
• Proven track record of strategic change management.
• Knowledge of leading edge procurement principles and practices
• Strong business and contractual knowledge
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills driving a proven track record in negotiation
• Well Organised with developed administrative skills
• High degree of commercial acumen
• Background of successfully managing major supplier and vendor relationships.
• An understanding of warehouse & logistics operations
• Breadth of IT Experience in IT/ITC particularly Cisco and/or HP Procurement is an advantage
• Established vendor relationships
