Production Engineer

An innovative Production Engineer is required to support this successful aerospace company to improve the methods it uses to take new products in to manufacture. Working within this electro-mechanical environment you will be required to:
• Collaborate with the design engineering team to ensure manufacturability is a key aspect of the design process.
• Manage the design or procurement of tooling that is required as part of the NPI process.
• Respond to current manufacturing issues so that there is minimal impact on output and quality.
• Develop business relationships with key internal and external parties to encourage efficient, concurrent engineering practises at all levels of manufacture.
• Design and installation of new factory layouts and manufacturing processes to support the companies continued growth.

Who we're looking for
A Production Engineer who is capable of working autonomously to drive projects forward in order to take products in to production efficiently and effectively. Your skill set needs to include:
• Proven track record of working within the aerospace or defence manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, casting and machining techniques.
•The ability to understand and use MRP or similar production control systems.
• Familiarity with 2D CAD packages.
