Reporting to the Research & Development Manager you will be operating within a medium sized but ever growing group which encourages individual initiative. You will contribute significantly to the success of new product development by playing an active part in all elements of the product development cycle, from generation of design specifications through to prototype assembly and testing. You will relish the challenge and responsibility of meeting and exceeding clients expectations. The role offers a blend of conceptual and detailed design, analysis and practical engineering.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an electronic engineering discipline and have a proven track record of working in a detailed design and development environment. You will be competent in the design of small signal analogue amplifiers and have a good working knowledge in FPGA's, control I/O, analogue I/O, Canbus, Modbus, Profibus, and Ethernet PHY. You will be proficient in the use of PC's, and Microsoft applications. You should display strong organisational skills, the ability to work to deadlines, prioritise your own workload and be able multi - task. You will be working as part of a team so should have a strong team work ethic, be comfortable in a changing environment, be flexible in your approach to work and have the ability to adapt to change. You will adopt a hands on , 'make it happen' approach and also be able to think outside of the box. The successful candidate must be able to travel both nationally and internationally.
