A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a tax specialist to join the Tax & Treasury team of a large business with offices in Crawley. The role has been newly created due to the recent restructuring.

The position of Group Tax Manager is to form an integral part of the UK financial reporting function, specialising in internal group tax reporting and tax compliance.

The work will be varied, challenging at times and very rewarding in terms of developing best practice and influencing decision making with senior financial management.

The successful individual will be responsible for co-coordinating the preparation of the UK tax accounting and group tax reporting requirements. This will include tax reporting for both monthly management accounts and year end group accounts preparation.

In addition, the successful individual will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate lodgement of all UK statutory tax filings and claims.

With a strong understanding of UK tax laws and ideally some exposure to international tax accounting and reporting, the individual will work with other members of the Tax & Treasury Department and external tax advisers to identify and implement tax planning opportunities with the aim of maximising the efficiency and integrity the worldwide group tax matters

Who we're looking for
A qualified accountant and / or tax specialist who is looking for a work/life balance proposition, or a role closer to home.

This role will require someone to work 3 days per week.
• Extensive knowledge of U.K tax legislation, rules and tax effect accounting.
• Exposure to corporate tax in a large multinational environment.
• Experience of interpreting and clearly articulating complex tax matters.
• Experience of interpreting complex tax law and apply it in practice.
