As part of the Engineering team you will be part of a multi-disciplined team of technologists specialising in the processing and filling of secondary explosives into both new and existing products. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Planning, co-coordinating and executing team work plans on a daily basis.
• Development of safe efficient and capable manufacturing processes.
• Undertaking analysis of processes to demonstrate compliance with 6 sigma.
• Preparation of documentation and risk assessments to support process development.
• Liaising with internal andexternal laboratories and test facilities in order to undertake explosive assessment.
Who we're looking for
The Ideal candidate will possess the following:
• Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or related subject at Degree/HNC level.
• You will ideally have a good understanding of process/project management and an ability to use associated tools and techniques.
• An understanding or experience of working in a hazardous environments & handling and transportation of hazardous/energetic materials would be advantageous.
• Candidates with a background in process and manufacturing engineering would also be considered.
• Must be computer literate and have excellent communication.
