This is an excellent opportunity within a large warehouse operation operating a 24/7 retail distribution contract
• Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager with the responsibility for a team of Warehouse Team Managers.
• Giving direction and monitoring performance ensuring the department runs efficiently & effectively.
• Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
• Ensure any disciplinary action is carried out following company procedure, and aim to resolve grievances on a day-to-day basis by leading by example.
• Ensure the operation operates all such systems to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in an FMCG warehouse distribution environment, either in house or third party.
• You will be capable of managing a large warehouse operation, dealing with customers and working in a time critical high pressure environment.
• Confident communicator at all levels.
• Ideally have a background working in and managing a Unionised team
• Good understanding of efficient management and the financial impact that it can have on the overall business
• Good organiser with confidence to delegate
• PC literate with knowledge of spreadsheets and databases.
• Ability to work under pressure and open in their approach
