Supply Chain Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director you will be responsible for the end to end supply chain whilst supervising a team covering planning, purchasing, logistics and project management. You will also be responsible for:

-Analysing and getting an in-depth understanding of how the current supply chain works and what processes/procedures can be implemented to improve the current set up.

-The management of the current supplier base. This will involve regular visits to sites around Europe to analyse how the current relationships work and how you can develop them and what can be done to improve communication and flexibility.

-Developing the supplier base to ensure flexibility, consistency and best practice throughout the supply chain. This will include sourcing new suppliers, managing quality audits and developing the key relationships.

-Working with the current planner to give direction to the planning process and to create a can-do attitude in regards to customer delivery.

-The management of the drug-screening process from managing and developing the testing programme with the provider and educating throughout the supply chain about the benefits and necessity of drug screening to ensure consistency of the quality of products offered.

-Being the link between sales, marketing, finance and operations to ensure that any supply chain issues/initiatives are communicated back to the business.

-Getting involved in all new product development from a supply chain perspective.

- Working closely with the warehouse manager to establish best practice and improve efficiency.

-The management/ coordination of all ad-hoc supply chain projects which add value to the business.

Who we're looking for
An experienced supply chain professional you will have a broad supply chain background covering planning, supplier development, logistics and project management. A proven man-manager within an FMCG environment you will also possess:

-Experience within quality management/control

-Commercial and business acumen

-Interpersonal and relationship building skills

-Influencing and negotiation skills

This is a new role for the business so you must be pro-active and have the ability to recognise opportunities and use this information to implement new procedures and processes to develop a world class supply chain.
