My client, a global engineering consultancy is looking for a Learning & Development Manager to work on site in Sussex. As the Learning & Development Manager you will be responsible for the successful development, implementation and delivery of the UK Learning & Development portfolio, together with developing and managing the technical and commercial programmes. Working closely with the UK HR Director to develop strategy this individual will be a key member of the HR team, delivering visible and results driven L&D programmes across the business, whilst working with external suppliers when necessary. A newly created role you will also play an important role in the development of the 'Academy' program, helping to deliver a flow of people with appropriate managerial and technical competencies to effectively manage the business.
This role will require some UK travel.
Who we're looking for
• A proven track record and exposure to a training environment and the ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the training life-cycle and the essential components of a successful process
• Proven experience in developing and implementing training policy and procedures
• Proven experience in mentoring and transferring knowledge
• Experience in managing and delivering HR/Training projects
• CIPD or relevant qualification preferred
• IT literate with Advanced skills in various software packages
• Understanding of Risk Management and Health and Safety matters.
• Strong organisational skills - ability to multi task and prioritise workload
• Fast and responsive - working to strict deadlines
• Proven communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
• Resourceful, innovative thinker
• Team Player - maintain close working relationships with all other employees of the business to assist in the facilitation of projects
• Ability to listen and a willingness to learn
• Utmost discretion when dealing with all sensitive and confidential information
• Results and achievement oriented to high standards
• Committed, motivated and passionate
• Flexibility - to travel at short notice
• Experience of Graduate and Apprentice Recruitment within industry
• Ability to prioritise own workload, meet strict deadlines and cope
