Finance Director

As the Finance Director for Elizabeth Fitzroy Support, you will have a very broad and wide ranging remit. As well as building upon the charity's strong financial position and leading the finance team - you will help drive and develop stronger business acumen across all levels of the charity.

Main responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing and reviewing financial strategies which will ensure growth and financial sustainability while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
• Devising financial policies, standards, systems and processes to guide the charity's financial decision making
• Lead and manage the finance team to manage cash flow, accounting systems, treasury, payroll, audit, tax affairs and insurance.
• Preparing annual budgets; exercising strong budgetary control through robust processes and procedures.
• Driving and developing commercial aptitude cross all regions
• Co-ordinating contract negotiations with local authorities
• Managing the investment portfolio
• Financial appraisal of new projects and capital plans
• Enhancing the quality of management information

Who we're looking for
We are looking for a qualified accountant who can demonstrate senior level experience, combined with strong team management, leadership skills and commercial flair. You should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Substantial experience of developing financial systems, policies and procedures
• Successful track record in improving the short and medium term management of financial resources.
• Successful track record of introducing innovative change through strategic management, within a geographically dispersed and devolved management structure.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as strong people management and motivational skills.
• Experience of producing and presenting financial information to suit a wide range of different audiences.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with a broad range of people drawn from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with Trustees
• Committed to values of Elizabeth Fitzroy Support.
