Senior Supply Chain Manager

As Senior Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for all procurement activity for one of the companies' divisions and a purchasing spend of approximately £100m. Responsibilities will include:-
• Define strategic sourcing best practices - Provide expertise through example and leadership.
• Provide assistance and guidance to cross functional departments in implementing suitable best practice and identification of cost saving methods
• Identify value added opportunities in collaboration with suppliers, business units and other key stakeholders. Resolve barriers to achieve business plans.
• Development and implementation of sourcing strategies.
• Maintain key supplier relationships through successful evaluation, negotiation and coordination with suppliers and business unit leads on key strategic issues. Communicate and embed best practice supplier management process and practices across the Purchasing function.
• Establish performance metrics to monitor effectiveness and efficiency of business activities in support of business plan identified categories.
• Lead, manage, motivate and co-ordinate cross functional teams.
• Man management responsibility for a team of procurement staff by mentoring and enhancing.

Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading a Supply Chain Function within a large blue chip environment and be able to demonstrate the ability to drive change. Strong leadership and communication qualities as well as excellent contract and negotiation skills will be essential. Ability to deliver operationally as well as establishing strategy is also a pre requisite.
