Reporting into the MD of a multi national, market leading, hi tech manufacturers the Logistics Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the continued year on year growth this forward thinking business continue to enjoy.
Responsible for the flow of all goods throughout the business the Logistics manager is also responsible for a small team. Working within this highly cross functional role you will also liaise with a variety of internal & external functions and act as the supply chain specialist to ensure that full stock visibility is available to all functions.
Key Logistics Management Responsibilities Include:
Ensure 99% on time in full order delivery satisfaction to all end users.
SAP systems maintenance for all supply chain related data.
Work with the centralised logistics function to proactively resolve potential issues.
Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to build collaborative, win - win relationships.
Overseas the reverse logistics flows of goods from major retail customers.
Regular liaison with multiple manufacturing sites.
Who we're looking for
• Ideally you will be educated to degree level or posses an industry specific qualification.
• The success candidate will posses excellent Logistics knowledge gained from hands on success within a similar role.
• Applicants must have strong end to end supply chain knowledge.
• You must have a proven track record of working with major retailers such as Dixons, Curry's or Tesco's and posses excellent communication skills. A previous record of working with manufacturing based organisation who ship goods from overseas and use a 3PL is ideal.
• People management is key to this role, as such you will have previous management exposure and be able to lead and develop a small team.
• French speaking candidates will have a competitive advantage.
• Strong order book management skills ideally using SAP.
• You must hold a valid UK work permit entitling you to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
• Applicants from abroad must be able to attend interviews at their own cost at a time to suit my client.
