The VMI Director will be responsible for the management of the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) Service that the company provides to its key client.You will be responsible for managing the customer relationship between the company and the client on a European scale as well as driving all management activities relating to the company supplied Inventory Analysts which are generally located at the clients facilities in the UK and Europe.
• Client Relationship Management
o Manage each Territory's VMI Goals while keeping them aligned with the rest of Europe
o Attend weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings as required for all Territories in Europe
o Attend all strategic internal sales meetings and planning sessions as the key representative and then ensure one clear direction is communicated through to all analysts.
o Management of Client expectations
• Management of Inventory analysts assigned to the account in Europe
o Management overview and mentoring of all territory VMI account Managers.
o Setting and monitoring key priorities for the VMI process in conjunction with key senior management.
o Ensure that excellent service levels are maintained
o Delivery and monitoring of client strategy objectives as detailed by senior management and client.
o Mentor and continue to train and develop territory analysts in co-ordination with relevant management
o Drive the Strategic directives detailed by senior management.
o Work with client and the analysts to set clear priorities and ensure effective priority management and task management.
o Ensure that key senior management are kept up to date with client issues and feedback.
o Co-ordinate system development requests through appropriate channels.
o Co-ordinate additional staff training and mentoring sessions with relevant Management.
o Carry out analyst's performance reviews.
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within the Media Industry. As VMI Director you will need to lead and develop a team remotely while keeping with the goals and direction as defined by Senior Management. Being PC literate, you will have great analytical skills as well as operational systems knowledge. Communicating this effectively is essential to both your team and external clients.
A proven track record within VMI and Supply Chain Management is a must along with the ability to pick up new systems knowledge quickly and efficiently. Additional European languages would be an advance.
