An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the group as Business Development Manager. A diverse role, you will look to manage key relationships both internally, and externally with full p&l responsibility for a major retail multiple, Marks & Spencer. M&S is a key account as their food brand values are quality, innovation and trust. Combining strategy and account management, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth whilst maintaining a strong business relationship with M&S. Through data analysis and category insight, you will also drive internal process to deliver overall strategy for the Hovis business.
Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will have relevant commercial experience from either a national account management, category management or buying role. Essentially, this will be from within the FMCG industry, and candidates with experience within the bread/bakery category will be at an advantage. Understanding of both branded and own label products is required. An understanding of supply chain processes is also desirable. A strategic thinker with excellent leadership and influencing abilities, you will also be comfortable with forecasting, presenting, data analysis and implementation. This is a head-office based role in Windsor, so candidates will be based within a commutable distance.

Hovis is the largest vertically integrated flour miller and baker in the UK, trading as Hovis, Rank Hovis, Le Pain Croustillant and Sofrapain. It is the home of the UK's favourite bread, Hovis, plus other famous brands including Granary, Mother's Pride, Nimble and Ormo. It doesn't only make wrapped bread - it also produces frozen part-baked bread for sale in the UK and France and over 850 other varieties of product, including crumpets, fruit buns, croissants, rolls, scones, muffins and Scottish pancakes. There has been a very large investment in quality within Hovis and with significant opportunities for sales and profit growth going forward, the immediate future will be a period of real challenge to the business.
