This is a highly sought after role within our Central Compliance team in London. Highly visible, you will work closely with business and support divisions to assess compliance across the organisation.
As the Compliance Manager your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Assisting in the design and implementation of compliance and risk based thematic reviews.
• Conducting thematic reviews of UK business groups and full desk reviews of EMEA branch offices
• Drafting and reviewing policies and procedures
• Assessing and evaluating compliance with regulatory obligations and group policies
• Reporting review findings and action points to relevant business management and members of the Risk Management team
• Preparing and delivering compliance training sessions
• Escalating any significant breaches identified during the review process
• Accurate record keeping and time management skills
Who we're looking for
Our client welcomes applications from compliance professionals who have:
• A degree education, min 2:1
• Strong regulatory compliance, investigation or audit exposure gained within a financial services, legal or regulatory environment demonstrating solid understanding of FSA rules and MiFID.
• Demonstrated ability to manage regulatory projects
• Ability to work independently, determine priorities and meet deadlines
• A collegial team member who builds strong, open dialogue-based relationships with clients and colleagues
• Strong commercial orientation and be a lateral thinker with proven ability to assess a diverse ranges of financial service businesses
• Persuasive communication skills both written and verbal, confidence in being challenged
• Languages: French, German, Italian or other major European language would be highly desirable
