As Bid Manager, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and leading the pre-construction bid team through complex 2 stage tenders in the education environment. Targeting the Academies framework and the D&B elements of PFI and BSF education projects, you will be the focal point of the bid team forging strong client relationships and securing work for the business. Project values range from £5m to £30m and are not confined to the education sector however this is a major focus and would be advantageous experience.
Who we're looking for
You will be responsible for producing accurate prime costings, maintaining cost data and co-ordinating the tender process. You will develop relationships with design consultants, clients, project managers, subcontractors and suppliers. Further to this you will be able to identify areas of risk and opportunity and have a good knowledge of the market place and competitors. You will have a good level of technical expertise, probably from a planning, design or estimating background and be used to securing commissions aligned with strategic plan.
