Reporting to the Head of Compliance, and with two direct reports (team leaders), this is a newly created role for a Compliance Manager.

Role profile:
• Conducts a systematic process of review to ensure compliance with regulatory laws and related codes of practices

• Works with all departmental heads and relevant team members to ensure legal compliance for all customer communications, contracts and brochures, whilst not stifling entrepreneurial intent

• Conducts specific audits on agreed areas of procedural concern and prepares appropriate reports with defined actions to ensure potential issues of non compliance are eliminated or mitigated

• Responsible for managing projects which are focussed on building capabilities to ensure compliance with existing or forecast changes in the law or related codes of conduct

• Provides internal consulting service on a range of Compliance related issues

• Deputises for the officially designated MLRO for group companies and carries out delegated duties as required

Who we're looking for
Degree educated and ideally in possession of relevant Compliance/Banking/Insurance/Investment qualifications.
Relevant Compliance experience.
Role holder must be capable of dealing with high levels of financial complexity in a broad range of regulated environments and be an effective negotiator

Role holder should also be able to demonstrate teamwork and a pragmatic and balanced view of the role together with pro-active support of business opportunities
