Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will lead aspects of business development within a team delivering services to the public and private sectors. The role will be within a successful team seeking and securing new business opportunities.

The key result areas for the Business Development Manager are:
• Identification and creation of business development strategies and processes
• Securing new business opportunities for NewSchools
• Development of relationships to promote the business
• Delivery of services to Public and Private Sector clients

Who we're looking for
The role requires a self starter with experience of PPP, PFI or BSF having worked for either the public or private sector. The BDM will have the ability to engage with Local Authorities and other key stakeholders and work with our partners to lead development streams and deliver winning bids. The role requires an articulate individual, capable of delivering and contributing to as well as reviewing detailed bid proposals.

The BDM will have an understanding of issues facing Local Authorities on transforming education and regeneration through PFI/BSF/Academies. The BDM will be an individual who is able to work well with teams within the business and with those of their Clients or Partners across the country in representing the organisation and achieving these aims.

About our client
My client provides advisory and management services to the education market, managing services to a portfolio of PFI Project Companies covering schools, social housing and transport infrastructure.

As part of the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) advisory service, their delivery focuses on both the bidding stage and also supporting Local Authorities in developing their requirements for the market. They achieve this through providing expertise on the development of effective and affordable Local Education Partnership (LEP) solutions and advice on achievable regeneration and project management tools.
