Who we're looking for
A qualified accountant with an EU passport who has excellent accounting skills and some previous management experience.
Applications are invited from anyone with suitable skills who has a genuine interest in relocating to Alderney.
Alderney is the northernmost of the Channel Islands - it is very small - far smaller (and far less developed) than either Guernsey and Jersey - it is just 1.5 (one and an half) miles wide by 3.5 (three and an half) miles long - there are only about 2000 permanent residents.
It has a (large-ish) number of pubs, hotels and restaurants but other amenities are more sparse - there is a golf course and some tennis courts - there is no bowling alley, swimming pool or shopping centre - there is a medical centre (2 x doctors) and a dental centre (1 x dentist) - there is even a small hospital.
Unless you own a boat - or know somebody who owns a boat - the only way on or off the island is via a small aircraft (16 seater Trislander). There is very little crime - and even less serious crime - there are no traffic jams, no traffic lights and no roundabouts. There are numerous wonderful, clean and (almost) deserted beaches - a gazillion beautiful country walks - and far more stars in the sky than you will ever see from most places in the UK!!
The tax rates are low (20%) with generous allowances and there are no restrictions on your ability to buy or rent property.
