Business Development Manager

• To maintain close & effective relationships with (a) Regional Corporate Banking teams (b) Product partners, within nominated geographic boundary.
• To be responsible for identifying, developing and winning new profitable Regional Corporate Banking business (t/o £25M + and likely to be more volume/less complex connections) in line with local strategy; creating and enhancing the local market profile of our client as the market leader for intelligent and innovative financial solutions.
• To maximise income and become a trusted business partner (internally & externally)

Who we're looking for
•Outperform stretching financial targets agreed with the Regional Corporate Sales Director &/or Development Director
• Ensure that the handover of relationships to the Relationship Manager teams are managed smoothly and professionally.
• Structure product and lending solutions that meet the clients needs, deliver maximum incomeand satisfy risk quality parameters.
• Delivering for customers
 Exceeding expectations.
 Adopting and instilling in the team a 'can do' business attitude.
 Providing timely and innovative business solutions.
• Driving an intense business development campaign against an agreed business plan
 prospecting for new/new business
 implementing a business plan
 Understanding the local market analysis
 Beating the competition
 'Knowing the patch'
• Delivering the results
 Achievement of personal financial targets.
 Understanding and appropriately pricing risk.
• Build and maintain relationships with a network of key external contacts (e.g. financial intermediaries), to ensure referral of new business introductions.
• Create a local profile such thatis seen as the preferred alternative to existing asset finance provider.
