In this fantastic role as Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the planning and execution of campaigns that support the marketing of a portfolio of publications and corresponding websites. You will assume full responsibility for maintaining and developing marketingplans and online audiences. You will employa combination of both online and offline methods (including search engine marketing, web and print advertisements, email marketing, PPC campaigns, direct mail campaigns and building strong relationships with relevant third parties realising the full potential for cross media strategy.)

Subsidiary tasks are:

1. To monitor readership and traffic across titles and their websites.
2. To be the brand manager and guardian - issuing guidelines for the brands' logos and appearance and the policing of this in all circulation promotions.
3. Competitor analysis. Identify key competitors and monitor circulation and marketing activity.
4. Involvement, where required, in marketing of new and existing brand extensions and related magazines.
5. Developing the Marketing Assistant

The Marketing Manager will report directly to the Marketing Directorand will work closely with the Publishers. He/She will be expected to keep up to speed with all relevant offline and online marketing opportunities and to make recommendations accordingly.

Who we're looking for
The successful candidate will possess the following key accountabilities:
• Define and executemarketingplans, manage budgets and strategies for the next financial year
• Establish and grow the number of paid and online subscribers/readers/users
• To maintain/improve the quality of the magazine marketing initiatives
• Database and list development
• To lead the marketing of magazines and their websites
• Budgeting and forecasting; responsible for working within agreed forecasts and budget
• Purchase of marketing print, services, promotion and supplies.
• Attend all team meetings and contribute to team goals and projects

Performance Measures

• On Budget subscriber and newstrade reader levels
•Monthly management accounts and annual budgets
• Monthly user report to include key data, campaign reports, promotional response and ROI, key developments and recommendations etc.
• Data and knowledge shared, best practise spread amongst team
• Traffic to the websites (including page impressions and registrations to the alerts)
