Materials Project Manager

The Materials Project Leader is responsible for monitoring, co coordinating and reporting activities that ensure the implementation of fully capable suppliers / supply chains that can support the development and introduction of new products.

Achieved by close liaison with Sourcing Managers you will ensure that milestone deliverables are met against agreed timescales and to agreed targets.
• Maintenance of Sourcing capability management documents / tools.
• Project Sourcing activity progress reporting, follow up and corrective actions.
• Maintenance of program cost models and reporting of cost trends.
• Identification of program specific sourcing related risks.
• Ensuring timely material availability to enable prototype builds.
• Completion of milestone documentation required for Sourcing supply line sub reviews.
• Sourcing Project Management.
• Supply line implementation.
• Tracking the completion of contracts
• Risk Management and maintenance of risk management plans.
• Maintenance of SLI plan
• Progress against supply chain capabilities.
• Program materials management.
• Parts list / component coding management.
• Contribute towards timely supplier identification and selection
• Benchmark supplier capabilities / technologies against product requirements.

Who we're looking for
• Commercial experience in a sourcing environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain management best practices and related tools.
• Project / program management experience.
• In-depth knowledge of costing principles and the ability to breakdown and analyse process / material costs.
• Supply chain management.
• Sourcing Capability Creation
• Ensuring a supply chain capable of meeting all of my clients needs.
