Transport Manager

Reporting to the Distribution Manager and supported by two Supervisors the Transport Manager will manage a large team of Drivers and make a significant contribution as a key member of the Twickenham Bakery management team driving the business forward. Working 5 out of 7 days including weekends the Transport Manager will work a 2 weeks rotating shift pattern of nights or days.
Key Reposnisbilities Include:
Manage the transportdepartment todespatched orders to end users OTIF.
Lead, develop and mentor a team of staff.
Maintain the fleetin line withindustry standards and internal policies.
Departmentalbudget management repsonisbility.
Identify areas for improvement such as new delivery routes, minimising laate deliveries and proactive improvements.

Who we're looking for
Excellent numerical skills gained from previous budget management.
A proven track record of Traqnsport management success with a high volume, fast moving industry sector.

Candidates educated to degree level or holders of a formal Logistics and or Supply Chain qualificationwill have the edge.
You will be entitled to work in the UK on a permanent basis.
