As the standalone Tax Manager for the UK group of Skanska's operations this will be a very varied role that enjoys significant exposure around the business. The role is available as the current Group Tax Manager is moving onto another part of the business.
Reporting to the Group FD you will be responsible for:
• Preparation and submission of all the corporate tax computations for the UK business
• Dealing with HMRC correspondence in respect to corporate tax and ensuring that the current excellent relationship with HMRC is maintained
• Preparing quarterly & year end tax forecasts for inclusion into the management reporting process
• Advising on all aspects of the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
• Advising on any VAT issues that arise.
• Advising on PAYE issues when they arise.
• Assisting with various adhoc accounting / management exercises
Who we're looking for
This is truly a hands-on tax position and will give the successful candidate a wide ranging role with significant chance to develop themselves further.
It is likely that you will be qualified (ATT, ACA, CTA, ACCA) with strong prior knowledge of UK tax either from another industry environment or practice. First class communication skills and commercial "awareness"are key, as is the ability to multi-task
