As Assistant Operations your role will mainly involve
• Overlapping with the BSF Team in the bidding process as required.
•Helping to develop project and concept design briefs from BSF Director/ Managing Director/Sale Team or directly from the client
• Close Liaison with the main contractor, client, architect, local authority to develop the detailed design brief
• Working with Estimator to develop the contract Quote
• Working with Quantity Surveyor regarding contractual issues
• Workingalongside Designers to ensure designs meet the client requirements
• Advise on means of achieving budget on the project
• Ensuring with the Managing Consultant that all contractual issue are clarified/resolved and the order is received
• Hand over the project once it is ready for manufacturing to the appropriate Operations Manager and Project Coordinator who will then manage the project through manufacture to installation but remains available for client liaison as and when necessary
• Maintains a project file of all relevant information, meetings, decisions
• Regularly reports progress to the Operations Director
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate will have
•Good understanding of the construction industry
• Good understanding of educational furniture
• Able to read drawings/liaise with architects and designers
