The principal function of this role is to add value to our marketing team and provide high quality materials (proposals, capability statements, brochures etc) aligned with our clients needs. Working to tight deadlines, the main objective is to support bid directors by project managing and coordinating the bid production process, sourcing, formatting and editing non technical sections of the entire submission.
Key responsibilities will include:
• to create and assemble submissions and proposals with minimum supervision under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and business development directors.
• to assist the Marketing team with preparation of materials (This will require coordination with business development directors, bid directors, engineers and external agencies) bringing value to the team and ensuring efficiency and high quality of materials produced.
• to create and assemble submissions and proposals under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and Marketing Professionals.
• sourcing corporate and non technical supporting information.
• working with the development support unit (DSU) and external agencies to produce quality information for submissions
• to produce OJEU and second stage responses with minimal supervision.
• to produce ad hoc power point presentations to present to clients at interview or work winning opportunities
• to assist with the store of high quality information to enable efficient production of submissions
Who we're looking for
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
• experience of proposals and producing professional level documents - eg prequalification, bid documents, presentations, brochures etc
• experience of notification databases - eg OJEU etc
• working knowledge of packages such as, Word, InDesign, Excel and PowerPoint.
• a knowledge of Engineering would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• self motivated, efficient and committed team player
• able to deal effectively with demanding contacts within the business
• excellent communication skills are essential
• liaising with graphic designers, support staff and suppliers to produce a professional high quality end product in tight time-frames
